Hi there, Jonathan here. I have been getting this question on how to deposit money into BTC-e many times. Therefore, I have decided to do a video to show how I do it.

Transcription

So I have logged in to my BTC exchange account as you can see here. Make sure you have confirmed your email address under the Profile section before you can do any transactions.

btc-e profile

So in order to top up your account with US dollars or other currencies, all you got to do is just click Finances. btc-e deposit 1

Once you click on Finances, you will be brought to this page. So, all you got to do is just pick the currency that you want to top up. btc-e deposit 2 In this case, I am just going to top up US Dollars. So just click on Deposit. So when you click on Deposit, you have to select the payment method. btc-e deposit 3 There a number of payment methods here. But for this example, I am going to go with Payeer.com because it is much easier to use compared to other services.  So in this case, you got to type in the amount of money that you want to top up. btc-e deposit 4 So I will just top up with 10 dollars in this case. btc-e deposit 5 What I really like about this method is that you can top up any amount of money that you want. So for people who are just starting out, if you just want to top up your account with $10, you can go ahead. And if you want to top up more, you can go ahead as well. 🙂 So, it is really fantastic. So, all you got to do is just click on Payment. btc-e deposit 6 So after you are done clicking on the Payment, you will be brought to this page whereby you can select the various methods of topping up your account with US dollars through this Payeer.com service. btc-e deposit 7 You can either do it through Russian banks, other services, via credit cards. If you have money in your Payeer account or Webmoney, you can use them to top up. So, I am just going to choose VISA. btc-e deposit 8 Do note that for VISA, the VISA only applies to Commonwealth or CIS countries, meaning that if you are not leaving in Russia or Honduras, you can’t use VISA. So in this case, you have to use Mastercard if you are leaving in other parts of the world. So I just click on this Button here. btc-e deposit 9 So after you click on the Mastercard, you will be required to key in your email address. btc-e deposit 10 So, in this case, I will key in the email address which I registered my Payeer.com account with. After you key in your email address, you have to click on this button. btc-e deposit 11 Do note that there is a service charge involved, about 40 cents in my example. Therefore, it is about 4% ($0.4/$10 = 0.04 x 100% = 4%). So after you are done here, all you got to do is just key in the numbers that you have on your Mastercard, there are a total of 16 numbers. btc-e deposit 12 Remember to key in the expiry date, month and year of your credit card. Then you have to key in the CVV, which is basically a 3 digit number at the back of your card. So after you are done with this, you can just click on this button. btc-e deposit 13 Next, you have to key in your handphone number at this page. Remember to add in your country code as well. btc-e deposit 14 After you are done, you can just click on this button. btc-e deposit 15 After you click on this button, you will receive a message from the service itself where you have to key in the 8 digit number here. btc-e deposit 16 It will typically take about 10 to 15 seconds to receive the SMS. After you receive the SMS, you can just key in the numbers which are stated in the message itself. After you have finished keying in the numbers, you can just click on this button. btc-e deposit 17 After you have clicked on this button, you will see this section which is basically I agree to the agreements or terms and conditions if you translate it. Just make sure this box is checked. btc-e deposit 18 Then you can just click this button. btc-e deposit 19 So after you have clicked on that button, you will be redirected to this page. btc-e deposit 20 As my Mastercard is registered with DBS bank, I will receive a page to key in the one-time password. This one is for security purposes. I do not know whether it applies to other country or not. So I will just key in the 8 digit number. After I am done, I will click on Submit. So once you receive this message, what it is trying to say is that it has been successfully deposited. btc-e deposit 21 You will then receive a receipt here. btc-e deposit 22 Then you will receive a message saying that you have sent US$10.40 and provide you with a transaction ID. Do take note of that. So once it is done, you just have to click on this button. And you are good to go. btc-e deposit 23 So once it is deposited, it will say that your money is successfully deposited. btc-e deposit 24 You can see right now I have 20.8584 USD. I started out with 10.85 USD if you realized. That’s all folks! P:S – If you are doing this for the first time, you may need up to 72 hours to receive the funds in your btc-e account. So please be patient. Subsequent deposits will be much faster. 🙂 With that I have come to the end of this video, feel free leave your comments below. I would love to hear from you.

    Hi Jonnathan!

I had click on “Create key” to get my API and Secret keys and paste onto the robot settings area without type in a name for your key,can i delete all of them and start again, do i need to e mail the support team to let them know. Thanks.

      Hi Vinh,

Is the robot working fine for you after you did that. I mean if it is working fine, there is no need to redo everything again.

I don’t think you need to contact the support about this because you are activating the robot and not re-installing it. But do note that you can use the btc-e account for one robot only.

If you want to get another robot, you have to register another btc-e account for it.

      Hope that helps.

How long did you have to wait for the funds to appear in your BTC-e account? I followed you guide and its been 24 hours, still nothing.

      Hi JCoin,

If you are doing for the 1st time, you may need up to 72 hours for the entire transaction to go through.

It was only instantaneous for me when I did it for the 2nd time. This is also taking into consideration whether you have deposited money/bitcoins into your btc-e account prior to your top up.

      Regards,
      Jonathan

Jonathan, thanks for the reply. I haven’t ever deposited money into my btc account either, and this is my first time using payeer/liqpay. Do I need to have them send new a letter to verify my address? Liqpay has a section about address verification which says they will send you a letter in the mail with a confirmation code. I’m just a little concerned now because it’s been 4 days

          Hi J Coin,

There is no need to send a letter to them. You can just log in to your btc-e account. Go to Profile and confirm your email there.

Then you will need to log in to your email account to verify it.

First of all…thank you for your instructions. I am having a tough time funding my account. I tried to make an initial fund of 50.00 USD thru Payeer..Liqpay and it still has not been approved. Liqpay says they are going thru “extra security measures” with my credit card. My bank has already approved of the transaction and they know that. This is very frustrating..any advice???

    Thanks, Steve

You may need up to 72 hours to receive the transaction in your btc-e account if you are doing this for the first time. This is stated in the FAQ of btc-e. So please be patient.

If you have deposited bitcoins/USD into your btc-e account previously, the entire process will be almost instantaneous.

Steve, see my comment above. I got the same from liqpay “we’re contacting your bank to verify your identity”, even though it’s a debit card transaction and had already been pre authorized. Anyway they told me to “contact your bank to respond to our request”, so I did, and of course they hadn’t received anything like what liqpay was talking about. I did get my $100 refunded today though. The only thing btc-e said was “use interkass.com”

Thanks for the information. I was trying to use the payeer.com, however at the step to choose payment method, I can only see only one optino, Payment Terminals. but once you clicked that, nothing happened… I didn’t see the various methods in your post.
do you have the same issue? any advice?

I am having the same issue as well. I have checked with payeer.com and they told me that btc-e has closed that payment option.

You may want to deposit by using bitcoins now.

    Hi Jonathan

I have created an account on btc-e but I can’t fund it with US Dollars as you also say. Therefore I want to deposit bitcoins to my account, but I want to know where you buy your bitcoins? do you use Virvox or another site. I have calculated, that a transaction on Virvox today will end up in a price of 680 USD per bitcion (the market price on bct-e is 592 USD at the moment), so I was wondering if you know a cheaper place?

    Thanks

Coinbase only work for US based people at the moment. You may want to give bitcoin nordic a go: https://bitcoinnordic.com/index_en.html

I just found it while surfing the web for a suitable exchange based on your country.

            Hi Jonathan

I am aware of Bitcoin nordic, but the problem is, that you can only buy bitcoins for 1500 DKK (270 USD) per day.

I have found Bitstamp.net which looks reliable. Do you know the site and can you recommend it? You can’t pay with credit card though but i think a will just make a bank transfer then.

            Hi Mads,

I haven’t used bitstamp to buy bitcoins but it is pretty credible as well. You can actually do a wire transfer to btc-e and buy your bitcoins directly from the exchange as well.

    Hi Jonathan

There was no reply button, so i’m just writing here.

I have totally missed that you could do a wire transfer from btc-e so that is definately an option. I don’t know if I will deposit 2000 USD at once, so maybe I will just use Virvox or something else. I wished that Payeer.com was still an option, because it looked so easy.

Anyways thank you very much. You have been a great help

Payeer option was available in the few days to a week that I’ve been watching BTC-e & Payeer. But since Payeer went down yesterday, option also disappeared at BTC-e. Payeer website now says “Gateway Time Out”.

I’ve also been concerned about providing card details to Payeer since it is Russian.

For bank wire into BTC-e, forum threads advise: do not use. The money will just disappear and no reply from BTC-e.

If you are concerned about providing credit card details to Payeer, then you may want to buy bitcoins from a local exchange and transfer them to your btc-e account if you are looking to trade it with the robot.

I had such high hopes for getting USD into BTC-E. Now that Payeer is no longer an option, it seems pretty much impossible to get USD into BTC-E directly with any kind of a US prepaid card or debit card.

    Here’s my own experience:
Bank Transfer – Worked only 2 times out of 10 attempts, the money could not transfer and finally returned after 4 days on a deposit attempt.

Interkassa – Was only able to use liqpay one time, now liqpay wont allow US cards.

Perfect money – They won’t lift limits on US persons.

okpay – US persons not allowed.

Egopay – You can only get money into it from okpay and payza.

The rest require a support ticket (ecoin and epese).

I hear there’s a way to go from Visa (US) to Egopay through 24change.com, but I haven’t tried it yet. So that would be, 24change to Egopay to BTC-E. With all the fees it might take out the arbitrage profit after moving the BTC elsewhere after purchase.

Jonathan, when was the last time you were able to move funds in & out of BTC-e & Payeer?

It’s all over the forum threads & on BTC-e itself, that deposits are no longer possible. Support tickets are ignored.

People are asking their funds to show up in their accounts even after weeks of transfer. Some are even calling it selective scamming (although I think it’s just complete scamming since support ignores all questions about users’ funds but will reply to other questions).

I have trust issues with Payeer since there are so many stories of people getting scammed.

Have you or anybody else tried the wire transfer?

And what is a wire transfer? Is it a regular transfer that you can do through your computer or do you have to go to your bank office? I want as few middle hands to BTC-e as possible if you get what I mean.

I really want to jump on the LTC train but it’s seems like it’s impossible due to this issue.

Hi there, you can actually use 24change.com to do a direct deposit into btc-e. However, the minimum transaction fee is US$10. Hence, you can save more money on the exchange fee if you deposit more than 200 USD.

Thanks 🙂 I have checked 24change. If using Visa/Mastercard, they are still going through Liqpay (same as Payeer). There will be a note that says Liqpay will contact “your” bank for a response that will take 1~3 days etc… (+Liqpay is Russian).

For Virwox, I am unable to figure out their exchange rate for USD/SLL. If I deposit USD 50, how much SLL will I get? Where do I look at when figuring out their chart?

I recently purchased the bitcoin robot gold membership and wanted to get it trading. i set up a BTC-e account ad deposited 1 bitcoin in it. in the “quickstart guide” it says that i have to create the keys and select the boxes marked “info”, “trade”, and “withdraw” (with a line through it). however there seems to be only a box for “info” and “trade” under the API Keys tab in my profile on BTC-e. im worried that because my bitcoin has not been transferred to my BTC Robot so that it can begin trading it. did i do something wrong? I did everything the quickstart guide said other than check the box that says withdraw because there was no box to check. please help!

ps. i watched you video Jonathan on setting up the BTC Robot and it looked like the withdraw box was there when you set up yours. not in mine

      Hi Kyle,

There are some changes to btc-e. I also have info and trade only. The withdraw has been removed. 🙂

      Regards,
      Jonathan

Thanks for the reply Jonathan! I guess my main question is that I have it all set up correctly I guess (API key/secret) but the status of my Robot says “fetching” and has been that way for hours. Is there anything I can do to get it to recognize my btc-e account? It says I have 0 funds in the Robot program but I know I have one Bitcoin it should be recognizing. Thanks for your time!

          Hi Kyle,

You may want to drop the btc robot support team an email on this issue.

          Regards,

      Hi Hanan,

You have to check with your bank to see whether it has approved the transaction. I have done it several times and it always work.

    Hi Jonathan
i received a message from Payeer and the keep referring me to Liqpay, i never signed up with Liqpay or any other site so why does it refer there?
Also the funds in my Payeer have not gone through,my bank says the money has been withdrawn from my account. I have read many comments from people complaining about the same problem many of them reporting stolen funds?

      Hi Hanan,

This is what I found at the bottom of the top page: ATTENTION: If you never paid through processing LIQPAY.COM, your first operation by your card can be verified by call from your bank and it can take up to 1 day, please wait. If your operation cancel in payeer due to security reasons, money go back to your card in few days.

Liqpay is their middle man for completing the transaction. That explains why they are referring you to there.

You will need your bank to call liqpay to complete the first transaction based on what I have read. Anyway, if the deposit is not successful, it will be returned to your account.

Has anyone experienced this? Please share your experience because I have never encountered this issue when I top up with payeer. Hence, I cannot comment much on this.

      Regards,
      Jonathan

Have you made a transfer from Payeer to Btc-e recently? As in the last week or so?

Thank you once again for your informative directions. After being turned down on my deposit months ago, with no apparent reason, I gave up. The process is not user friendly by any means. But, you have encouraged me to try again, but I have one question… Are you making any money using the robot???

    Regards, Steve

      Hi Steve,

If it still does not work, you may want to start trading by depositing bitcoins into your account.

Yes, the robot has improved its performance for this month.

      Hi arjunkc,

You can just follow the instructions here on how to deposit money into btc-e. Which transactions are you referring to? The buy and sell orders?

      Regards,
      Jonathan
