Hi everyone, Jonathan here with a quick bitcoin news update. I am very excited about this update because there has been a lot of developments in the bitcoin world for the past few weeks.
To start off, the price of bitcoin has exceeded US$1000 at Mt. Gox. This is so much faster than what I have expected.
In addition to this bitcoin price news, there are many new businesses starting to accept bitcoins as a payment option for their services now.
1. Target, America’s 3rd largest retailer is accepting bitcoins via its mobile platform, Gyft.
2. A premier university from Cyprus, University of Nicosia is also accepting bitcoins for its tuition and other fees.
3. Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galatic, a space travel company will be accepting bitcoins in space.
With so many businesses around the world accepting bitcoins every month, there is no wonder why bitcoins are appreciating in value. What your thoughts on this?
